Las semillas de cilantro...

El cilantro es uno de esos ingredientes que está presente en la cocina de casi todas las culturas latinas. Pero lo que muchos no saben es que también la semilla del cilantro es riquísima y fácil de usar.

Lo encuentras como “Coriander Seeds” o “Semillas de Coriander” en la sección de especias secas.  Se vende por lo general en polvo y también las semillas ya secas.  Yo prefiero la semilla pues me gusta machacarla en el mortero o pilón al momento de usarla y así su sabor se siente más fresco y luce hasta decorativo una vez lo cocinas.  Su sabor es bien aromático como una mezcla de salvia (sage) como con algo de cítrico.

Unos camarones en el sartén o grill con semillas de coriander machacada y sal a gusto… son inolvidables… y si luego lo sirves con el puré de coliflor que encuentras en la sección de recetas del site; serás todo un éxito y repetirás una y otra vez… que La Cocina No Muerde.
